Brain dead...

I'm back home after a lot of rushing around and adjusting things on the fly...as is normal. The job in LA wound up being larger than expected, of course, but I still got it done and it's set for delivery on Friday.

Met with friends in LA, which took a lot of work...but was worth it. Got those relationships back on track. I don't have many friends, mainly because I don't really try. I've known these for more than 40 years.

Then came Seattle, which was actually pleasant...and where I did some research for Dair's Window. The book fair took up Sunday, but my flight home wasn't till after midnight Tuesday morning, so I got a car on points to get mobile all day Monday.

Hit a Barnes & Noble to find a couple books on Seattle, then ran over to Gig Harbor, scoured a couple of bookstores for more on the city, hopped a ferry across from Bremerton to downtown and checked out the train station and bus terminal for part of Adam's story...

Which I'm glad I did, because the Greyhound terminal is like a prefab building stuck under the freeway not far from the Seahawks' stadium in a very industrial area. Really depressing. However, the train station is really nice if a bit awkward to deal with.

But overall, I took a break from thinking about The Murder of a Quiet Man...and I think I'm done with it. At least for now. This visit to Seattle has nudged me back to DW.

So arrived home at nearly noon, slept in a while, then worked out my expenses to take in, tomorrow, with the paperwork from everything.

And then it will be back to DW.
